Born in 1948 in Dieulefit (France), Jacques Roman is a comedian, actor, director, producer and collaborator at Radio Suisse Romande, pioneer of public readings, filmmaker and writer who lives and works in the canton of Vaud in Switzerland since 1970. Author of thirty books in various genres, he was awarded in 2000 the Prix Édouard Rod for for  L'ouvrage de l'insomnie, Grigny, éd. Paroles d'Aube,1999.
