Atmosphères - Marcel Imsand & Philippe Dubath

The photographer and the poet, a beautiful liaiison of images and words. Philippe Dubath has already ventured into the world of Marcel Imsand with "L'atelier du photographe" (Cadratin 2008). In "Atmosphères", the two friends walk a new path. Golden images and secret places. The trees sensing the familiarity of those who pass beneath them, the uncertain light and dramatic autumn skies accompanied by the gentle voice of the poet. The modest words, like the path of the wanderer, sketch a silhouette, a love of nature, solitude, peace and silence. The mist between the trees, the wisps of cloud, the blurred veil of dusk falls as the words of the poet accompany the wanderer on his way home.

Philippe Dubath was born in 1952 in Lorraine, a Swiss-born father, he has a long career in journalism in western Switzerland, including "24 Heures" and "Le Matin". He received the 2003 Prix Frontier Letters for Zidane and I. He currently lives on the shores of Lake Geneva.

Born September 15, 1929 at Pringy-Gruyères, established in Lausanne since 1964 photographer Marcel Imsand remains one of the great portraitists of our time. His portraits and landscapes have a distinct style, full of love, tenderness and emotion. Marcel Imsand has practiced social photojournalism and journalism. In 1970 and 1971, he received the Bourse Fédérale des arts appliqués. In 1976 he was winner of the Prix des murailles, in 1979 Grand Prix Suisse de la photographie ((2nd prize). In 1988 he received the  Grand Prix de la photographie given by the Foundation for the Advancement artistic creation. in the canton of Vaud, Switzerland.
