For designers

To our designer clients,

To make your job easier and to ensure the highest quality results in a timely manner, we suggest that you refer to the following points when preparing your files.

Please send your files:

  • Vectorised and saved as PDF ou EPS (CMYK).
  • With all text vectorised (outlined).
  • Text: no smaller than 6 pt.
  • Knockout text: 12 pt or larger (be careful of fine serifs).
  • Lines and line art: minimum 0.35 pt weight (no hairlines).
  • With crop marks.
  • With bleed of 3 mm.
  • With all images vectorised and at 100% scale (we can work with bitmaps minimum 1200 dpi).
  • With each colour in a separate layer.
  • Using 100% Pantone Uncoated spot colours.

We use Pantone Uncoated spot colours which includes the range of Pantone metallics and fluorescent inks.

Our inks are not opaque; therefore a third colour can be created where two colours overlap. If this is not the result that you desire, please take this into account when preparing your files.

Other techniques

When you are preparing a file that includes hot foil stamping, embossing, die cutting or scoring, you must create these elements in separate layers. These elements should be identified using 100% CMYK colours. For example:

  • An element to be embossed or hot foil stamped should be coloured using 100% magenta in a separate layer.
  • The outline of a form to be die cut (1 pt solid lines) or scored (1 pt dotted lines) should be coloured using 100% cyan in a separate layer.
